Unsure

I think I'm seeing a bunch of butterflies, but I'm not sure. The creatures are a hundred feet distant and thirty or forty feet up, back-lit by the evening sun. All I can tell is that they flutter like butterflies and have pale wings that silently flick the sunlight about. Below them, lawn sprinklers are flicking quite a bit of sunlight too, though not silently. The splattering water is the loudest sound in this breeze-less evening. Far to the north, I see a few puffs of white cloud clinging to the mountain slopes. The rest of the sky is clear, pale blue, as vacant as my mind. Remaining as dazed as I've been for weeks, I can't even be sure if I'm seeing butterflies.
