Dawn Comes Too Early

It's still a bit to cold to stay outdoors watching the night sky, but I expect that balmy airs will soon drift our way. Now that I no longer depend on Sluggo, I have grown eager for the arrival of full spring. It will be nice to sit by an open window and not have my fingers go numb from the cold. The house will no longer be stuffy.

An interesting web project, (unearthed by carbonunit), is, a site which promises unlimited free storage and bandwidth for your text, photos, software, video and audio files, as long as they are in the public domain or you own the copyright. Launched on March 21st, it already has 12,000 members. The storage space is being provided by the Internet Archive, and the project is being backed by the Creative Commons, and a number of other open-source arganizations, so the whole thing looks to be pretty well grounded. It will be interesting to see how it develops.
