Very early this morning, the sun, still concealed below the horizon, turned the ceiling of clouds a remarkably lurid shade of red, and the morning light became pink. I hoped for a similar effect at sunset, but it didn't happen. I mean the pink light didn't happen. Sunset happened, or it wouldn't be dark out right now, and I wouldn't be seeing the moonlight play across the drift of clouds. The slightly gibbous planet itself appears and vanishes among them, as inconstant as my thoughts.
I like the outage meme that's going around:
The Great LiveJournal
During the outage, I carefully cleaned my fingerprints from that red button I accidentally hit, (sorry), and then I told Sluggo to keep his virtual mouth shut.
