Busy all afternoon, I had little time for observing the day, but the crisp weather continues. The walnut tree has gone from mostly green to mostly bright yellow almost overnight. It looks quite splendid when it catches the light of the evening sun for a few minutes. The rain has all gone, and there were few clouds hanging about today. In fact, Sunday is expected to be warm- perhaps even in the 70s. A bit of Indian Summer is usual for November. I look forward to the interlude.
I finally got around to joining theflappers, which I have been intending to do for quite a while but kept forgetting. I don't have any pictures to post there yet, but I enjoy seeing the various relics of the 1920's and the contemporary faux '20s photographs the members post. The community has a surprising large membership, especially considering the fact that the average age of LJ users is still only about 19. I guess a lot of people have nostalgia for a time which was gone long before they were born. Rock on vo-do-dee-oh-do. |
