I set off the smoke alarm while cooking dinner. (I forgot to turn on the ventilation fan in the range hood.) Of course, while I was trying to figure out how to turn the alarm off, the food actually burned. I thought smoke alarms were supposed to warn you that things were about to get burned, not cause them to be burned. Why, I'm lucky to have survived! Technology can be so ambiguous.
I've always liked topping cooked cereal with cinnamon, instead of sugar. Now, it turns out that cinnamon has stuff in it that mimics insulin. Half a teaspoon of cinnamon every day can help balance blood sugar. Good heavens! I've been eating health food without knowing it! I wonder if the price of the stuff will go up once this news gets out?
Oh, crap! Monday night, and I forgot to put the trash out! It's painful to realize that I'm not a full time genius. I need a cookie.
