The damp is nice. No rain, just very fine mist gradually soaking everything. I believe the moon reached the full tonight, but I haven't seen it. Once in a while, it makes a bright spot in the heavy clouds, but it never fully emerges. The first full moon of spring. Maybe I'll see it tomorrow -- no, wait -- that would be tonight, since dawn is nearly here. In the meantime, the damp is indeed nice. Mist is the next-best thing to moonlight on a spring night. All the pleasures of rain, accompanied by silence, and a touch as soft as a cat's nose.
