Congruence

Does anyone else find it amusing that our American elections coincide with the English celebration of Guy Fawkes Day? (That site has a recipe for Treacle Toffee, by the way. Looks horrifying.) So, the English are celebrating an event that didn't take place, while we are having elections that most of us don't participate in. There is an odd symmetry to it all. Parliament didn't get bombed, and we elect the same pols to congress over, and over, and over. My thought for the day; reality is weird.
