Reset Thirty-Eight, Day Forty-One

Thursday brought some sprinkles, but nothing I'd call rain. What it didn't bring was my planned trip to the bank and stores. My ride was delayed until it was too late, as the bank was closing. I have rescheduled for this afternoon. It's unlikely I'll get wet, as the chances of rain are all the way down to 19%. In fact the chances of rain overnight are 80%, though so far I've still seen nothing but occasional sprinkles.

Thursday also brought a morning nap, which I can now barely remember. I barely remember most of the day. I ate a Mexican-style microwaved dinner, which was neither great nor terrible, and lately I've had a bowl of popcorn, and shortly I intend to munch a bit of chocolate and go to bed. I hope I can sleep well enough to be rested for my outing, but odds are I won't. But I've already put together an online order from the main store I'm going to, and all I have to do when I wake up is pick a pickup time and go through the online checkout.

The other store I want things from doesn't have pickup, but it shouldn't take too long to gather up the few items I need there, so it ought not be too exhausting. I managed to find most of what I need at the store that does have pickup. There will have to be a stop at the Dollar Tree for tissues, the only place where they can still be had at a reasonable price, and I should fetch another chocolate bar from Trader Joe's, which is almost next door to Dollar Tree, but I might be able to get my niece to do those two errands after she brings me home. At some point I need to get to CVS to buy another ballpoint pen, as the one I have is almost out of ink, and CVS is the only place I know of that stocks this particular type of pen.

I'm not especially tired, but I really want to get to sleep as early as possible tonight, and I'm hoping that a bit of reading will help. Something about print on paper seems to relax me, and I will often nod off after just a few pages. A drop of brandy might help.
