Reset Nineteen, Day Twenty-Seven

Well that was a Monday. And this is a Tuesday. Monday night I found myself unable to stay awake, so I went to sleep around eleven o'clock, and then woke a couple of times feeling very unrested so went back to sleep or, the last time, just stayed in bed, finally rising about five o'clock this morning. The thing is I was expecting a telephone call from an official government agency (Social Security) this morning at half past nine, but they called me at half past eight to tell me they weren't going to call today and it would have to be rescheduled to an as yet undetermined date and time. It had already been rescheduled once, from April 12 to April 27, though that rescheduling was noted only by snail mail. It's all very confusing. By the time they do get around to calling I suspect my brain might have already quit functioning altogether and nothing will make any sense to me at all.

The sun is on the wrong side of the sky, I ate a bowl of ramen for breakfast, I'm still tired, and I must have slept on my neck wrong because it feels very sore and I've got a headache. But it's trash day. Yay? I hear the truck picking it up right now. Either that or the aliens are invading. At this point neither one would surprise me. It wouldn't surprise me if the trash truck were leaving fresh trash instead of picking it up. When the sun is on the wrong side of the sky anything is possible, as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe I'll do some laundry. Maybe I'll eat some ice cream. Maybe I'll go back to bed. It's Tuesday. What difference could any of it possibly make?
