Reset Eighteen, Day Seven

Monday managed to almost completely avoid lodging itself in my memory. I got to sleep fairly late, after the sun had risen, and then woke up near two o'clock in the afternoon, with a lingering fragment of a dream in my head, which was about some guy I don't know either skydiving or bungee jumping, I couldn't tell which, but there was some screaming. After that it's all pretty vague, but I know I ate a donut and remembered to put the wheelie bin out. I had the last avocado for dinner, and it was still good, but just barely. Because dinner was fairly early, I got hungry again around midnight and fixed a bowl of popcorn. And that's about all the account I can give of the day.

Oh, there was a brief episode of sprinkles just before nightfall, but nothing since. Odds of some decent rain today are pretty high, though, and it's going to be moderately cold so there's also a chance of snow in the mountains, at least above 3000 feet. A bit more water to irrigate the crops with next summer, and maybe to help put out fires with. It's always nice to be able to put some water on fires. It makes the place seem very slightly less apocalyptic.

The popcorn has worn off, and I had no idea what else to fix, so I just grabbed a nearby bag of potato chips, and now I have downed about to days worth of fat and sodium in the last fifteen minutes. I should probably hit the hay before I do anything else stupid. I was tempted to take a nap last evening, but resisted, so I am getting sleepy now. And did I just write "hit the hay?" I did. I haven't said, or heard, that in ages. Whatever else may be going wrong in my life, at least my brain is successfully reverting to childhood.

But first there are damned dishes to wash.

I hope it will be raining when I wake up.
