Reset Sixteen, Day Fifteen
I think that the reason I haven't been able to see the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn is because the pair are low in the southwest after sunset, and southwest is the one direction here for which the view is blocked by tall trees. Tuesday evening I thought I caught a glimpse of the event between some branches, but most likely that was just one of the streetlights along the freeway. It was really too bright to be a mere pair of planets. Ah, well. It's only four hundred years until the next time it happens.
Tuesday got up to about 60 degrees, but it will drop to 33 tonight, then go back up to 61 today followed by a nocturnal low of 31. I thought we were done with those extreme diurnal ranges for a while, but apparently not. Thursday is supposed to cloud up, so there will be a cooler day and a slightly warmer night, and then Friday it's supposed to rain, with barely any change from the high of 49 to the low of 44. I'd rather that both were about ten degrees warmer, but I'll take what I can get. At least I won't get temperature whiplash that day.
My brain still feels rather like it is clogged with mud, and even simple thoughts seem to take forever to get anywhere, and once they get there the result seems hardly worth the effort. I doubt that I think much more when I'm awake than I do when I'm asleep anymore, but since I don't remember my dreams I can't be positive. It's quite possible I think more clearly when I'm asleep. Anyway, I feel very stupid these days. I think I'll try to do more reading, as I've heard that reading makes you smarter. If it doesn't work I guess I'll just keep getting stupider.
