Reset Fifteen, Day Nine

First Sleep came on quite suddenly Monday night, around eleven o'clock, and lasted about four hours. This appears to have become my new pattern, at least for the time being, so I'm just putting up with it. Second Sleep coming after dawn is annoying, but I guess it can't be helped. My routines never seem to last for long anymore, anyway, so this one will probably soon vanish. Whatever comes after it might be better, or might be worse, or no better or no worse. You get surprises whether you want them or not.

The rain hasn't arrived yet, but is expected this morning. Periods of intense rain are expected, and some strong wind. It might happen, it might not, but the odds are good. I'll probably be sleeping through much of it, so I hope we don't get a local flood. I've been skittish about that ever since that spring rain that left this apartment sitting on the shore of a good-sized lake, part of which came indoors. I've got more stuff sitting on the floor now than I did then, and it would be a major arse pain to have to find places to put it all. Not to mention all the cleanup I'd have to do afterwards.

Dinner Monday night was an artichoke, which was quite good but not really sufficient, so after sleeping I microwaved a bowl of ramen. Should I consider that a second dinner or a first breakfast? I have no clue. Maybe it was a post-midnight snack. Things would be simpler if I just stuck to drinking.

There's enough light in the sky now that I can see the clouds. It's not yet completely overcast, so there is some pink light from what is about to be a semi-sunrise. The cover should thicken up enough that there won't be the bright sunlight leaking around the blinds that made getting to sleep so difficult Monday. Thankful for small favors.
