Reset Thirteen, Day Two

It's nice to have orange juice again, and donuts, and fresh half-and-half to put in my iced tea. All these things should remain available for the next ten days. That's when I'll run out of donuts again. The long range weather forecast says it will still be too hot for me to go out on foot and fetch more then. Summer is being a turd about the whole change of seasons thing, and I'm being a whiny old guy about the weather.

Aside from the donuts and orange juice, Friday was mostly a bore, like most days in this time of seclusion. I did break the monotony with a bit of the Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream I bought at CVS. I'll run out of that even sooner than I run out of donuts, but since ice cream isn't breakfast I won't miss it as much when it's gone.

The night is cool for now, and not too smokey, and it will be a couple of hours before the helicopters start flying over the house again, so I'm going to go get some sleep before it gets hot and noisy again. Wind is supposed to pickup later tonight, so Sunday might find the fires blazing forth with new vigor. I have to enjoy the cleanish air while I can. I'm really quite tired tonight, and my brain is fuzzy again. Eventually the fires will be put out, but I won't be getting any younger. Seize the bed!
