Between

Tuesday my sleep pattern went back to split shift. I totally crashed around eight o'clock in the evening and woke up near midnight. It was still miserably hot outside at that time, and became tolerable only near dawn. I found myself fixing dinner (after a fashion) at three o'clock in the morning. It's daylight now, and I'm wondering if I'll be able to get to sleep at all.

Today being Wednesday maybe I should go over to the plaza and check out the outdoor farmers market they hold there once a week. It opens at 7:30. I have been craving casaba melon, and haven't seen any in the stores. If I'm going to find one it will probably be at the farmers market. We'll see if I'm still awake when it opens and whether I have the energy to walk that few hundred feet.

It's probably going to get hot really fast now that the sun is up. It's supposed to be 103 today. Ech. Then 107 Thursday and 109 Friday. Someone should tell the sun to knock it the hell off. Also the county's coronavirus infections are up by eight since yesterday, from 111 to 119. I think that's a one day record for us. I'll be we can beat it, though.
