Late Again

The weather report was deceitful. It was not expected to rain today, but there were sprinkles, drizzles, and mists pretty much from the time I woke up around eleven o'clock through nightfall. So I ended up not going out today, though I'd wanted to get to CVS and Trader Joe's. It would have been okay had I gone out during the misty period around two o'clock, as it remained just slightly misty for over an hour, but I feared the rain might start up again at any time, so I stayed in. As it turned out it started drizzling again around half past three.

Tonight the forecast is saying there is only a 10% chance of rain tomorrow, If that is not another lie, maybe I'l get out then. Getting out Friday through Sunday appears to be out of the question, unless I get a ride, which is unlikely. If I'm going to be stuck in here for three days after that I really need to get some more stuff from the store, most especially some mushrooms and vegetables, which I didn't get as Safeway the other day since the bags I had to carry home on the bus were going to be quite full enough with all the other stuff I bought. Luckily Trader Joe's has both of those items.

So far it's looking like I'll get at least one or two days next week when I'll be able to take the bus up to the bank without getting soaked, but this time of year one can never be certain. If I don't get a dry day or a ride to the bank I'll just have to suck it up and get wet. The banking must be done, and I'm too much of a Luddite to start using the online banking at this late date.

The mockingbird was out singing in the mist again today, which cheered me up quite a bit. It's not like having a cat curled up on your lap purring, but I'll take what I can get.

Drat! I just noticed that the Internet has gone of. I let the phone/hotspot battery run down again. It's on charging, but that means I probably won't get this entry posted until after two o'clock in the morning— maybe quit a bit after, if I fall asleep before the device is recharged and I'm reconnected. Ah, well, at least I've got plenty of stuff to read now.
