Later and Later

There are donuts from Grocery Outlet. I also ended up buying a bunch of stuff I hadn't planned to get, like an 89 ounce bottle of Gold Peak tea, two 16 ounce jars of Grey Poupon mustard, some soft cheese wedges from Ireland, a big can of baked beans, and a dark Belgian chocolate bar with almonds and orange. That store is run by the devil, but at least the prices are low. I got all of that for less than eleven bucks.

After I got home I tried the tea, which is pretty good, but I don't think it has much caffeine in it, because I fell asleep while sitting in the new chair in the back yard, and when I woke up it was dark out and my neck hurt from getting into an odd position. Somebody setting off a loud firecracker on the bike path is what woke me. Fireworks are not legal in Chico, but I've heard quite a few already. They weren't legal in Paradise either, but there were always a few scofflaws. Down here will be a big display at the fairgrounds tomorrow night, as usual, but that is a couple of miles from my place so I don't expect to be able to see them. I might hear some of them though.

On the whole I expect tomorrow to be pretty dull, though a few of the stores in the Plaza will be open, so I might go over there in the evening. I have a $1.50 off coupon for some Magnum ice cream novelties that are already on sale at CVS, so another bargain, and a perfect one for a hot July evening peppered with explosions.

Crap, look how late it is. I'm losing the ability to keep track of time. Happy Indy Pendants Day.
