It began sprinkling this afternoon, but I had a coupon for 40% off one item at CVS and I wanted to get a Brita water pitcher, so I ventured out and didn't get too wet. I've been buying gallon jugs of water, which is costly and inconvenient and wasteful, and now I can have water that doesn't taste of chlorine without all that bother. It's smaller than the pitcher that burned in my house, and shaped oddly, but it's apparently all they make now. I've really missed having one.

The rain has remained light sprinkles all evening, and now the asphalt of the parking lot is dark and shiny and reflects the lights. It is fairly still out now, too, now that the traffic on the freeway has died down, and it isn't too cold tonight either. I might go out and stand on the porch a bit more in a while. The wet scene and relative quiet remind me of better times.

Few new cats posted today, and most of them tabbies. I'm quite tired tonight, but not sleepy. Reading something on paper might be a good idea. More rain tomorrow.
