Shopped

I got to go shopping today after all. The rain held of until late afternoon, and though I only ha time for one store it was the most important one. Now I have almost everything I need for the next week, and only one thing I'd like to have but don't really need. Plus I got sale prices on other stuff that will last me a couple of months, and extra bonus points that will get me some good stuff later this month or net month. I also filled in a couple of gaps in my condiment supply. It's starting to be very much like my own kitchen. I'll be out of beer on Monday, but odds are a lucky break in the rain will allow me to make a quick run to Trader Joe's, and if there is no break in the rain I've got the new umbrella I bought at K-mart the other day.

The rain isn't very intense right now, but it was quite fierce for awhile around six o'clock. I actually delayed starting to cook dinner for a while in case the power went out, but it eased up and I was able to cook without interruption. That made dinner a bit late, and I've only just now finished doing the dishes, and it's close to midnight.

Again none of my cats appeared in the batch of rescue pictures posted today, but there were several reunions announced. Unfortunately there were also posts for several cats and whose remains have been found. One was a beautiful brown tabby with blue-green eyes I was really hoping would still be alive. I've been seeing posts about him for weeks, and it was almost like I'd gotten to know him. R.I.P., Badass.
