I'm having a hard time deciding what to eat tonight. I have several choicez, but there is something missing for each of them. I have grits, but no ginger to put in them. I much prefer ginger to salt, but that is moot since I have no salt either. I have everything I need for bacon and tomato sandwiches but no bag or plastic wrap in which to put the opened package of bacon. There are other choices but each is thwarted by something I lack. I really need to go shopping again soon.

Maybe I'll just splurge and order a pizza. I'm sure I've got enough cash for the delivery guy. But I'd have to eat the whole thing tonight since I have no foil to wrap the leftovers in. I should probably be less fussy about such things, but old habits are hard to break.

Also I really need to get some sort of device on which to set up my microwave oven. It doesn't fit anywhere in this little kitchen. If it was available I could fix that package of spicey teriyaki noodles I've got in the cupboard.

I'm still looking at pictures of rescued cats every day. Today I saw one that looked a lot like Frosty, but I don't think it was him, even though this cat was found somewhere along the road that runs a block west of my ruined house. It seems unlikely I'll ever see any of the cats again.

It's supposed to get quite cold here tonight and will be colder on the ridge. Winter has officially begun. It's likely to be a depressing one for me.
