Another Cat-related Nap

After waking up early today I stumbled about much of the morning, then decided to watch a movie this afternoon. Lying on the couch with me were a few cats, and Portia decided to curl up on the pillow next to my head and purr me to sleep. Next thing I knew I had slept through the end of the movie I was watching, then the next movie in its entirety, and half of the following movie. I woke up at dusk after a nap of some three hours. So, we're back to that again. Thanks for the purrs, Portia.

The forecast is shifting a bit. Sunday and Monday are now predicted to have highs below seventy degrees. There will also be a few nights dipping down into the high forties. It looks as though actual autumnal weather might arrive before the end of October after all. But the slight chance of rain that was previously predicted is entirely gone again. And I slept through watering time again today. I'll try to stay awake tomorrow and do it then.

I did manage to get a pot of beans cooked tonight, and they turned out pretty good. They might be even better tomorrow. Beans are sometimes like that. If not, I can add some chili to them. I've got bargain saltines to use up.

It's late now. I have to start winding down. Goodnight, Internets overstimulation. I'm going to go look at the moon for a while to calm myself down.

  • Reset Seventeen, Day Fifteen

Once again I've forgotten when I went to sleep, but I woke up around two o'clock in the morning. Tuesday was quite warm, and I kept the windows open…

  • Reset Seventeen, Day Fourteen

I don't recall the exact hour, but it was well before midnight Monday, when I felt the sudden need for a nap. I expected it to last until perhaps two…
