Late Again

This evening's unintentional nap was shorter than those of the previous two days, but I've still run out of time due to Internet distractions. Before the nap there were periods when I heard distant thunder, though we've gotten no more than random sprinkles all day and I saw no lightning (all the thunder came during the daylight hours.)

This evening the other side of the valley got a flash flood warning due to copious rain in the coastal mountains, which was partly in areas burned in this summer's fires. I haven't heard any damage reports yet, but flooded creeks clogged with burn debris and mud can do pretty nasty things. I might go hunting for news later, but now I just want to heat up a can of tamales and drink some beer while watching Colbert. Goodnight, journal.
