Clouds arrived today, and the moon is now illuminating them. Unfortunately the guy who is fixing up the house next door left its back porch light on, and there is only a narrow strip of my back yard from which I can watch the sky without getting a bright LED glare in my face. I hope he comes back tomorrow and notices that it's on and turns it off. Otherwise I could be putting up with it for a long time.

There is a 50% chance of rain tomorrow afternoon, with another peak of 50% Sunday morning. Even if the rain comes it's unlikely to be very much. The whole storm is unlikely to drop more than a quarter of an inch. I suppose that will be enough to make irrigation unnecessary for only a couple of days, but any help at all is welcome. It looks like the ground will remain green into May, though I doubt it will last into June. This could be the last rain of the season. By the end of next week daytime highs will be pushing into the eighties.

The shopping trip will be on Sunday afternoon this week, but there won't be a whole lot of it. Not much is on sale, and the money is short at this end of the month. Five shopping days in one month always strains my budget. May will only have four shopping days, and one less large bill (the every-three-months trash collection bill), so ought to be better.

Right now I'm going to go microwave something for late dinner. There's a spicy Korean rice dish that was on a buy-one-get-one free sale at Grocery Outlet last week. If they still have some this week I'll get more. I've already had it once, and it's quite good. It will go well on this chilly night, with a chilly day on the way.
