Milder

The first of the mild days allowed me to have some of the windows open for a while, but since I didn't get up until about two o'clock in the afternoon they didn't stay open for very long. I probably could have opened them by noon, had I been awake to do so, but yesterday my sleep schedule went totally off the rails and it's likely to be a while before I get it under control again. If I wake up earlier tomorrow I'll get to have more window time, since it will be getting a bit warmer a bit earlier.

But I got to see two springly things: a bee and a butterfly, both of which visited the back porch while I was sitting there basking in the warmth and being alarmed by burgeoning of the weeds. I'm going to have to do a lot of foxtail pulling before the ground gets dryer. They are difficult to dislodge from dry ground, but should be fairly easy if I get to them tomorrow. The problem is my back doesn't really want me to be getting down on the ground to yank weeds. My joints tend to agree.

It has cooled off quite rapidly, though it won't be going below fifty degrees tonight. I could bundle up and listen to the frigs from the back porch, but even one day of mild temperatures has made me more sensitive to the cold, so I'm going to stay in and watch television instead. I had fresh air this afternoon anyway.
