Fancy Murder-Free [Mar. 10th, 2018|09:18 pm]

It's supposed to be a bit warmer tomorrow, which will please me. I've been feeling a bit too cold all day today, even when the sun was out. But then it will cool off again Monday, and be quite chilly by Tuesday, and probably stay that way for at least a week. I'm not looking forward to that, though we could get a few inches of rain out of the deal, which would sort of make up for it a little. But I'm seriously ready for winter to be over, yet not at all ready for summer to arrive. A nice, long, mild spring would be great. Can that be arranged? Probably not.

The frog song is not being drowned out by barking dogs tonight, but it's too cold for me to stay outside listening to them for long. Maybe tomorrow night will be better. It's unfortunate that it's not warm tonight, as the local PBS station is having one of its quarterly beg-a-thons, so no English people will be murdering one another tonight, and it would be a perfect time to sit on the back porch listening to frogs and enjoying some mild evening air.

Instead I'll probably just watch reruns of Americans murdering one another on the Hallmark Murder and Glurge Channel. That is if I can get Portia off my lap long enough to move into the living room. Some popcorn would be nice, too. Would be nicer if I could get warm.

A hello from the past. I am in northern Germany now, and we went through a very cold and snowy February and early March. But today, we reached 17°C ( 63° F). We have had snow drops for a couple of weeks, and yesterday our clusters of crocuses opened. The bees are busy.

Ah, visiting the Vasty Hall of Death that is LiveJournal? I feel just like Eurydice (don't look back!)

I haven't seen a crocus, but some rosebuds came out in January, then the flowers got frozen in February. No snow has stayed on the ground more than a day this year. It was a surprise that there was any at all. Whether or not we still have bees remains to be seen.

Hope you are enjoying Germany. Say hi to Angelina for me.

Germany is fine. My German wife and>I are happy that we escaped the Trump.

The German language is sooo hard to learn, but I make a little progress everyday. I have both a private tutor and attend the official Deutsche course offered by the state.

Today's lesson was on the dative case :(

I'm not sure its possible to entirely escape The Trump. When the USA jumps the shark, the whole world gets splashed. We're Number One! We're Number One!
