In the meantime, both days and nights are expected to continue being mild for the time of year. It won't be mild enough for me to open my windows, but in December I'll take what I can get. Still, if given a choice between mildness and rain I'd take the rain. The predicted rainy days won't be much colder than the intervening days, so it's like I'll be getting the best of both worlds— assuming the rain does come. That's never a safe assumption in California.
The week after Christmas is always a bit problematic as far as television goes. Last night I was watching something when I fell asleep, but it was so dull that I don't even remember what it was. It will probably be that way all week. Things should pick up in January, and I'll be able to fall asleep while watching something interesting and then kick myself the next day for missing the ending. Ah, back to normal!
It turned out that Christmas was one of the holidays that causes a one-day delay in the trash pickup, so my full wheelie bins are still sitting out at the street. It does comfort me a little that so are just about everybody else's up and down the block. I'm not the only local incompetent! I'm only the one with the worst lawn!
