It could be raining by ten o'clock, or maybe not. Whether it rains or not, it is definitely cold, and has become breezy making the night feel even colder. I've done something to my ear. It was itching and I scratched it, and knocked something out of whack, and now it makes a rumbling sound whenever I chew. I guess that means ramen for dinner, as that requires minimal chewing.

I'm going to let the computer go to sleep early tonight so I can close the furnace vent in this room and heat less of the house. I can sit in the living room and watch television from under a pile of blankets, if I can find anything non-Christmasy on. I'm totally burned out on holidays anymore. Apparently I'm not the only one. Only one house on the block has lights up this year, and we usually have at least three. The one guy seems to be trying to make up for everybody else's failure, though, as his display is quite lurid.

The rain is still scheduled to end before the coldest part of the night arrives, so most likely there'll be no snow. In fact I suspect the rain itself of bringing its own warmth with it. After it goes the colder air will rush in and make tomorrow the coldest day since last February or so. I'm not looking forward to it. Especially since the pie is gone. But maybe I've still got a refrigerated can of cinnamon rolls. A cold day demands something baked and sweet.
