Reset Thirty-Five, Day Thirty

Well, Wednesday started out sort of normal, though I got up after no more than seven hours of sleep, but Sometime after nightfall the oldness caught up with me and I had to sleep some more. It turned out to be about four hours more, in two clumps. The first clump left me with a dream that I was sure I'd remember, but forgot, and the forgetting probably came from displacement by a dream in the second clump. It was one of those lost and seeking transportation dreams I've been prone to for many years. I don't remember many dreams, but this particular type does leave some residue.

This particular one involved a bus ride, with a rather intimidating looking bus driver. It also had some views of the ocean in it, which is unusual but made for a nice change. I can't say the transit dreams are good, but they are not entirely horrible. They do, like other dreams, leave me uneasy, which may be why I seldom recall dreams at all. I suspect the ones I don't remember of being much worse.

As dinner was post-nap, and the nap didn't end until almost midnight, I doubt I'll be wanting a late night snack tonight. I certainly don't want one right now. I'm not sure if I'll get sleepy again soon or not, but I'm hoping I do. The fact is that I feel tired even when I don't feel sleepy, and I'd just as soon be asleep. But without those dreams, thanks.

I think I know what happened to my right index finger, which was sore under the nail and swollen and a bit inflamed. I had to open a new jar of mustard tonight, and it had one of those plastic protective things around the lid which had to be peeled off first. The plastic tried to get under my nails. I then remembered that I had to do that with another jar a couple of days ago, which had an even thinner plastic sealer, and I think the plastic might have made a little cut in the skin under my nail, and that's what led to the soreness. I'll have to figure out another way to remove those plastic things.

Today is supposed to be quite mild. I don't know how much of it I'll be awake for. If I sleep through it, there will be three more chances this week before it turns chilly again. There's not much chance of rain until late next week. I'd gladly give up the mild days for some rainy days. It's going to take a lot of rain and snowpack to get those reservoirs full again.

Sneezing gets more unpleasant all the time. What the hell is that about?
