Reset Nineteen, Day Eight

There was spaghetti (well, angel hair to be precise) for dinner Wednesday, and I'm happy to say that so far the marinara sauce has not brought on any indigestion. This is a bit of a surprise, and I'm at a loss to account for it. As I'm probably still ingesting fruit flies with my porter, I must consider the possibility that the absence of indigestion is the result of some antacid quality in the insects, but I'm not going to dwell on it. Instead, I'm stretching my luck and tempting fate by having a late night snack of soy sauce and wasabi flavored almonds.

The back fence bush is now densely covered with white flowers, despite its habit of dropping dozens of unopened buds every day. Every time I go out I must remove a few from the seat of my chair. I'm not sure why they are falling, but perhaps I should water the plant. I keep intending to, but keep forgetting. My brain seems hellbent on dying before I do. It's too bad that innocent vegetation should suffer from my lapses.

One lapse a short time ago led to my phone/Internet hotspot losing power because I forgot to charge the battery. Fortunately the LJ update page was open, so I've been writing this entry while I'm waiting for the machine to suck up enough juice to make a return online possible. I can't fetch any new pages, though, so I don't know what the weather is going to be, other than warm, which it has insisted on being for several days now. I do have some entertainment, though, as I had a YouTube video loaded on another page, and I've been listening to it repeatedly. It's Toad the Wet Sprocket's Something's Always Wrong, so I don't know why I'm not more morose than I am. In fact I hardly feel morose at all at the moment. Just a bit pissed off at myself for forgetting to charge the battery, again.

Okay, the wasabi and soy sauce is not yet doing anything bad to my stomach, but it sure as hell is starting to wear my tongue down. I'm going to go check the phone to see if it's sufficiently recharged to reboot, and then I can post this and go eat my bedtime chocolate. I might be able to get to seep before sunrise tonight, since I got up at the almost reasonable hour of one o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Maybe I'm returning to a more reasonable sleep schedule. I won't hold my breath, though. Even if it does, I doubt it will last for long. I old guy sleep now. I'll probably never normal sleep again.

Yay, I've got Internets back.
