Another Day Zero

Wednesday brought no surprises, but I gave myself one. Mixing grapefruit juice with a bit of lemonade makes a tolerable substitute for orange juice for a few days, but I was really tired of it, so around six o'clock in the evening I decided to risk a quick run to CVS for some real OJ. It turned out to be on sale for $3.99, so I couldn't use my 40% of coupon, which they honor only on full-price goods. I decided to get a pint of Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream, which is priced at $6.19, so I got the 40% off on that instead. Then I found they finally got some Chester's Flamin' Hot Puffcorn in stock, so I got a bag of that as well, plus a six pack of Sierra Nevada porter. It was a good haul, and I saw only three other customers in the store; two masked women and one unmasked man. "Say, who was that unmasked man?" "Why, that was... The Lone Asshole!"

Getting farther down in my food stocks, I microwaved a package of Nissin teriyaki flavored chow mein for dinner. As it is not soup, I was able to have beer with it, and I've got plenty of that for now. But since eating I've gotten very tired. I thought it would wear off, but it hasn't. It's probably because I've been up since before nine o'clock this morning, and really didn't sleep well for at least a couple of hours before that. Anyway it's getting harder and harder to keep my eyes open. I might have tole the dishes go until morning again. I hate doing dishes in the morning, though not as much as I hat doing them when I'm about to fall asleep at the sink. I think I'll go to bed now. Most likely nothing will happen tomorrow, except it will get a bit hotter than it did today.
