Either my feet are still growing or my shoes are shrinking. Despite making only one short trip today to Trader Joe's and the Goodwill store, my feet are sore and feel like they are getting squeezed. I hope I don't have to buy new shoes again, as I stocked up with three pair last time Kmart had a sale. Of course it's probably just swelling, letting me know that I'm about to die of heart failure. Thank goodness, because I hate shoe shopping.|
It's that time of the month when I need to go to the bank again. I don't know if I'll try to go tomorrow or wait until Monday. Monday is supposed to be a few degrees cooler than tomorrow, when it's expected to get up to 91, but forecasts can be wrong. If it turns out to be hotter Monday than tomorrow I'll be pissed at myself for waiting, and Monday is really the latest I can go if I want to pay the rent on time and avoid an overdraft. All this being an adult crap is so annoying.
It was pretty hot today, too, so it's a good thing I laid in a supply of sandwich goods so I didn't have to cook anything. The bread could have been fresher, but a bit of staleness is a tolerable price to pay for not needing to cook on a hot evening when my feet are swollen. And it was a decent sandwich. That's one thing I can fix that I seldom screw up.
There was something else I was going to say in this entry, but my overheated brain has lost track of it. My brain might be swollen, too. It probably needs another bottle of beer to cool it off. I've stocked up on that as well, so I think I'll indulge myself. A salty snack to go with it would be nice, but since I didn't get to Safeway this week and getting anything salty didn't cross my mind while I was at Trader Joe's I have none. Maybe I'll microwave some popcorn and put lots of salty butter on it. If I'm getting heart failure I don't want to do it halfway. Get those arteries clogged with something delicious and get it over with, I say!
