I Can Has Chocolate

The moon is gibbous tonight, but it's hard to tell because there are still clouds lingering over most of the sky. Now and then the moon will emerge fully for a few minutes and its shape is discernible, but most of the time it is blurry or partly obscured or entirely hidden. There are some clear nights coming up this week, and then I'll get a good look at it as it grows.

The forecast of daily highs has been changed, and we are looking at at least eight days getting up into the sixties. Still no rain is in sight. Maybe what we've been through already is all the winter we'll get this year. I expect to see plants blooming by the end of next week. If winter then returns there will be a slaughter of the premature blossoms. No good can come of what's coming, I fear.

My minimal shopping is out of the way for the week. I will not run out of cat food. I will not run out of chocolate either. Grocery Outlet had 10.5 ounce bars of dark Belgian chocolate with almonds for $3.99, and though I had not planned to buy such a thing I immediately realized that I must have one. I haven't opened it yet. I want to spend some time in anticipation. I enjoy holding it and feeling its weight.

I checked for the stuff on the Internet and Amazon has it for $15.68, with a lot of very good reviews. If it's as good as I hope it will be, and Gorvery Outlet still has some next week, I'll be buying more. By weight it's about the same price as a common Hershey bar is when it's on a buy-one-get-one=free sale.

But look how late it's getting. I've lost track of time again. I think might go out and look at the moon again before I settle down to fall asleep in front of the television.
