Stupid

There has been some rain, but it happened overnight while I was getting not quite enough sleep. The ground is damp and every time there's a breeze water gets shaken from the oak tree next door and falls on the roof of my back porch. It isn't raining right now, but it might later as the sky is still cloudy.

Another thing happened overnight while I was getting not quite enough sleep. The computer decided to change some setting or something, and everything on my screen is stretched horizontally. Even the application icons are a bit stretched. I can't see about an inch of real estate on the right side of the screen, and it makes the thing rather difficult to use. Also the stuff in the upper right corner, where you maximize of minimize or close, is blurred, and of course the right hand scroll bar is un-seeable.

Something to do with the graphics card, I'm thinking, but it never happened with Windows XP. Windows 7 has been a pain in the arse since the day it was installed, so I can't say I'm surprised. I've looked for solutions online, but so far no luck. I'll wait for the nephew to wake up and see if he knows anything about it. He built this machine, and put Windows 7 on it, so I'm not entirely optimistic, and, again, I can't say I'm surprised.

Stupid computers.
