Extreme Web Weirdness.

The other day, I posted a link to the Something Awful site, where there is a fake movie poster for a non-existant movie about LiveJournal. I posted a link to the page, on which there were several fake posters for several non-existant movies. I also posted a link to a page with the LJ poster alone. I just checked that second link, and lucky I did, because the poster is no longer there (although the page with the group of posters is.) Instead of the poster, I saw something I couldn't quite figure out for a moment. Then I realized what it was. It was the head of an ejaculating penis blown up to about 30 times its normal size. Well. Isn't that special? Not that I am personally shocked, or anything, but it isn't the sort of thing to which I would normally link in my journal. Well, maybe in a post to a particular filter of my friends. (Heh.) But not in a public post! I have no idea what the hell happened, since the other page with the poster on it is still there, and the link to the poster alone worked fine last night. Anyway, If anyone happened across the post after the link morphed into the unexpected, and were shocked by what they saw, my apologies. The link has been removed from the post. If anyone wants to see a giant penis head, leave a comment here and I'll post the link in a special friend group, or in a comment in your journal, or e-mail it to you. You'd better hurry, though. I have a suspicion that this link changes into something new every day.

Update: I just tried the link again, and now it has returned to the proper page, which is the poster. What the....? Well, okay, I will re-post the link here, with this warning- it might be an amusing poster, and it might be a giant peckerhead. Click at your own risk!

Pictures and Deer.

Well, yes, I did get something done tonight. I have added nine more pictures to my spring album at Webshots. I have a few more for this album, and another goatload for a second album, but they haven't been cropped and re-sized yet. And then I have to do summer, but I'll wait until it's over before I start on those albums.

This evening, while I was on my walk, I suddenly had the feeling that I was being watched. I looked up into a front yard on the high side of the street, and there was a doe staring at me. I managed to take a picture, but the light was fading quickly, and she was about 90 feet away, so I don't know if it will turn out well. Then, I noticed a second doe several feet away from the first. I snapped a picture of her, too, before they both moved into the deeper shadows under the trees. This time of year, the deer come into town more often. The summer roses are in bloom, and the pansies, and apples are ripe on many trees. Acorns are beginning to fall from the oaks in ever larger numbers. The town has become a giant banqueting hall for the deer. I might have many more chances for pictures, although they are shy and elusive animals. It would be better if I had a camera with a telephoto lens.

There was something else I was going to say, but I'm getting punchy from lack of sleep, and it has slipped my mind. Oh, well. My brain is bound to churn up still more stuff tomorrow. Mmm, much cooler tonight. I'll go out and take one last look at Orion before the sky grows pale, and then go to sleep.

Life has gone all white-rabbity on me again.

I have no time for being an emotional train wreck or to indulge in narcissistic rambling, so I needs must shut up and go do a bunch of stuff. I wasted too much time looking at brad's pictures of Las Vegas. (If he's going to take his shirt off in the desert, he really needs to learn about sunblock.) Damn! Gotta go break up a cat fight.
