Grog

Now I remember what else I was going to write about last night. I was going to wish everybody a Happy Groundhog Day. I don't think we have groundhogs in California, but I think Bill Murray lives here now, and if he sees his shadow we get the same day over again. So, just in case, have a Happy Groundhog Day tomorrow.

It's been raining most of the day, but usually it's been only a drizzle, occasionally lapsing into mere sprinkles. Now and then there has been a brief burst of actual rain, but it has seldom lasted more than a minute or two. A moment ago I thought I heard thunder, but it lasted too long and thus is probably just a jet flying over.

Short on beer, I had some vodka with fruit juice and sparkling water with dinner tonight, which was just a while ago, and now I'm feeling a bit groggy. I hope I don't fall asleep too early. I slept about six hours last night, but if I go to sleep too early tonight I'll probably be waking up before dawn, which is almost as bad as waking up at sunset. Still, I can barely keep my eyes open. I hope it's just a brain tumor, because I've had enough of irregular sleep.
