More of the Same

The rain and wind grew intense today, but both died down at nightfall and since then we have had fog drifting about. I like fog, but prefer it in the daytime so I can see it better. At night it just makes me think my eyesight is getting worse. It's also been getting a bit colder, but so far it hasn't gotten cold enough to silence the frogs that have been croaking loudly every evening since the warmer rains began. Tomorrow's rain is expected to be colder, and the nights are going to start dropping into the thirties again, so maybe the frogs will bury themselves in the mud and go silent then.

We are supposed to get four dry days in a row starting Thursday, but then clouds will return on Monday and rain on Tuesday. It's going to be warmish rain again, so the frogs will probably come back. I don't think it's going to get warm enough for the buds that have been slowly forming on my rose bushes to actually bloom, though. It's very strange to see rose buds in January. It would be stranger still to see actual roses.

Oh, and we might be getting a thunderstorm around midnight tonight, and the wind is expected to return too. I'll make sure the computer is off before then, just in case we get a power outage. I just got the thing set up and don't want it to get fried so soon.
