Delayed

LJ has been behaving very badly this evening. Pages stop loading before anything appears on them, and it happens when it sends a request to this url: st.top100.ru - I have no idea what that site or its function is, but it's clearly something our Russian overlords are doing. Possibly some sort of traffic tracking thing. Anyway, when I try to load a page and that particular request comes up the loading stalls, and when that particular request doesn't come up the page loads just fine. I've lost about two hours to it this evening. Most annoying. Maybe the Russians deserve Vlad the Inhaler (of power) after all.

Anyway.

The oh-no-we're-going-to-burst-into-flames heat has ended, and we got only some well-this-is-unpleasant heat today. Tomorrow should be no worse than today, but Saturday it's expected to get hotter again. I just hope it doesn't get too hot when I go shopping on Sunday. I truly dislike getting drenched in my own sweat while crossing the parking lot.

Yesterday's brain fry made me forget to eat the zucchini I'd prepared to go with dinner, and I ended up eating it this evening. I couldn't think of anything else to fix. There's lots of stuff on the shelves, but none of it seemed appetizing to me. If I get hungry later I'll probably nuke a frozen burrito.

A summer insect attracted by the light of my monitor keeps fluttering around my face. I'm going to go outside in the dark and be insect-free for a while.

Let's see if I can post this, or if the digital Russians are up to their old tricks again....
