Disappointment

There was no rain last night after all, and probably only a little bit today while I was sleeping. When I went out this afternoon there were a few drops clinging to the leaves of the rose bushes, but they were brightly lit by the sunshine that continued most of the afternoon. However, a bit more snow has fallen in the high Sierra, and more is expected over the next couple of nights. Days will be too mild for snow, but the nights will be unseasonably chilly. It's unseasonably chilly here tonight, too, but the sky is still mostly clear. I suppose there could still be a bit of rain here from this storm, but I wouldn't count on it.

For some reason this computer has been extraordinarily slow today, and I'm way behind on everything I intended to do with it. I think I'm going to give up in frustration and just let it go ahead and masturbate, or whatever the hell it's trying to do. It clearly doesn't want me around to witness it's depraved behavior. I'll go watch the much friendlier television.

Oh, I did want to mention that I heard a hawk calling for quite some time this afternoon. I caught only a couple of glimpses of it, but it was hanging around the neighborhood for quite a while. I have no idea what it was up to, either. Maybe it was communicating with my computer, telling it to be obnoxious all night.
