The Cool

This was supposed to be posted last night, but either LJ belched when I posted it or I just fell asleep before getting around to posting it and didn't discover the fact until today when I opened the update page and it asked me if I wanted to restore from the saved draft. It's a race between LJ's dementia and mine.

The days are supposed to heat up again next week, but at least the nights should remain fairly cool. Tonight it's headed down to 53 degrees here, and I've hauled one of my hoodies out of the drawer in which it slept all summer. It needs a good washing, but it will do for tonight. I've had the windows open for over two days straight, but they'll have to be closed later tonight. Right now the house is still balmy, despite the outdoor temperature already being down to 64.

I'm going to take advantage of the coolth to use the oven again. It's just going to be some sweet potato fries, which won't take too long, but I'm thinking I might bake that frozen pumpkin pie I've had stuck in the freezer for the last few weeks. The evenings are feeling quite autumnal, and there's nothing as autumnal as pumpkin pie.

Wow, I hadn't noticed how late it had gotten. That's what I get for watching movies all afternoon. It's time to go fix dinner.
