The mildness of the days grows enervating. All I want to do is sleep, but I still didn't get a nap today. I won't get one tomorrow either as I must go to my re-scheduled appointment with the chiropractor. Right now I can barely keep my eyes open. Some plant must be producing soporific pollen. I feel both lazy and stupid. What else is new, you ask?

Well, the LED light bulb I put into my desk lamp, for one thing. It is heavier than the compact fluorescent it replaced, and the extra weight is dragging the lamp down (it's one of those spidery lamps with bending arms and tension springs and all.) It seems oddly appropriate that the lamp should sag, as much as I I'm sagging. I don't think I'll even bother to cook dinner tonight, or even make a sandwich. A cup of Greek yogurt, perhaps. I won't drink any beer either, as I'm sure I'd be asleep before I could finish it. And beer+yogurt would be revolting anyway.

I've gone through fifty of sixty tissues today because of the pollen-induced sneezing. It's terribly wasteful, but cloth handkerchiefs are another thing I find revolting. I like trees, but not enough to give up tissues to save one. It's enough that I'm letting my lamp sag to save energy.

Now I'm going outside for a few minutes to see if the cool night air will wake me up a bit. The pollen ought to be down now that it's getting chilly.
