The Bayeux Tapestry in a total of 93 LARGE images, (some of them are detail shots) courtesy of Australian National University, through its ArtServe system. I'll be posting more entries about ArtServe. It has one of the largest collections of art available on line, though many of the painting links are dead. (I think that the museums that own these works are trying to prevent them from being seen on any sites but their own.) But ArtServe still has a vast collection of other things to see. The Asian collections are very good, and there are many good photographs of ceramics and sculpture. More links to the site will be forthcoming. In the meanwhile, explore!
