Nod

The chiropractic adjusting is done for another month (well, for four weeks. December 30 is the next appointment.) I didn't get too wet, and as I was out anyway I stopped at a market for a couple of things. Cat food was not among them, but I think I have enough to last until Friday, assuming no extra ferals turn up. But now I'm exhausted. I woke up far too early today after only five hours of sleep, and because I had an afternoon appointment I didn't dare take a nap. Now I have to try to stay awake for a few more hours. If I go to sleep this early I'll end up waking up at midnight or one o'clock in the morning, and I hate that.

It's hard to stay awake when the rain is tapping gently on the roof. I might try having a cup of tea, though that could backfire and keep me awake all night. I'd should at least skip having beer with dinner, though. Beer could have me so relaxed I'd be comatose within half an hour. Plus dinner itself should be something light (good thing I have no tryptophan-loaded turkey to get rid of.) And Portia had better not curl up next to me with her soporific purring.

Ah, but listen to that rain.like a slightly irregular metronome going sleep, sleep, sleep...

Crap. Tea it is.
