I'm hoping that August and September will be milder this year, because last year they were my peak months of water usage. I was still below them this month, despite the heat wave, and if they turn out to be mild enough I should be able to get a twenty or thirty percent reduction easily.
Last night was so cool that the house got down to 66 degrees before morning. Even though today was warmer than yesterday I was still able to keep the house below 75 all day, and now with the windows open for the cool evening air it is headed down again. I might not even need to turn the fan on tonight. I'll see how cool it gets by midnight. If it doesn't drop to 70 by then I might decide to have the fan the rest of the night. I'm going to need that cool air stored up for tomorrow.
But tonight I think I can even chance using the oven briefly. I might heat some fish sticks to serve as substitute shrimp to go with some microwaved teriyaki-flavored noodles. I didn't eat much during the heat wave, so I've got some catching up to do.
The relative coolth of the day allowed me to get some housework things done that I'd been putting off, but doing them left me little time for Internets. Now I have catching up to do there, too. No rest for the wicked.
