Today wasn't quite as hot, so I'm less dazed than I've been for the last couple of days. I managed to yank up quite a few foxtails from the back yard. Sadly, the large patch of lupines that grew there for the last two years is much diminished this year. The golden poppies, not yet blooming, are also few. I see only half a dozen plants where in the past I've had fifteen or twenty. At least the lamb's ear is thriving. The big patch under the oak tree must cover about a hundred square feet now. It will be quite impressive when they bloom.
The pine pollen is still making me miserable, and I'm hoping it will be gone by next week. There is also a plague of earwigs this year. I haven't seen so many in years. They're not especially harmful, of course, but they sure are creepy to look at. So far they are staying outdoors, but I'm sure it won't be long before I start finding them in the house. I hate stepping on them with my bare feet, or maybe even worse, stocking feet.
I did some shopping yesterday, so I might not bother to go tomorrow. I have to go out to the chiropractor Tuesday, so I can stop at the store then if there's something I really need. An uninterrupted Sunday will be nice.
It's a nice, cool evening. I'm going to go out and enjoy it for a while.
