Right now we're looking at nine straight days when there could be rain. I'm sure there won't be, but there are bound to be at least a few wet days. It's going to be getting colder again, too. Looks as though winter is trying to get back at spring for having horned in so soon. I hope the chilly weather doesn't slaughter all the crickets. I'm sure they were about to join the frogs in the evening orchestra, but that event will probably be deferred now.
I didn't want to use the oven during the electrical storm, so dinner has been delayed. I have frozen lasagna, and it would have been very unpleasant if a power outage had stopped it cooking when it was only halfway heated. I don't think the storm will come back now, so it's time to get it into the oven. The stuff takes forty minutes to heat, so I won't be getting dinner until almost eleven o'clock! I'd better make an appetizer or I'll be so hungry that I'll wolf the lasagna down, and I want to savor it.
