Blow

The storm front passed through late last night and brought a chilly morning. In the afternoon a chilly wind arose, making the evening colder still. After nightfall the direction reversed, and now the wind, though still chilly, is actually a bit warmer than it was before because it is now coming down from the desert to the northeast. Tomorrow will follow the same pattern, with the morning warmer than the afternoon. As much as I enjoy the wind, I fear a power outage which would leave me cold all night. The pilot light is out on the heater in the back room, so I have no backup for the furnace with its electric fan.

It was a busy day, and I didn't get quite enough sleep last night, so I'll try to make an early night of it. I just hope I'm not overtired. It's hard to get to sleep when I'm overtired.
