Changes

We have enjoyed a very mild evening despite a gray day that brought sunshine only in late afternoon. The frogs and crickets both sound happy about it. My own happiness is tinged with sadness that this might have been the last such day of the season. Tomorrow it will be eighty degrees, and by Friday it will be in the nineties. Tonight I intend to bundle up and let the house get as cold as it can. Odds are I'm going to be missing the cold by next week.
