This morning I tried reading for a while, but it put me to sleep and I didn't wake up until about two o'clock in the afternoon. My mistake was probably trying to read lying down and covered with a fuzzy blanket. Having a cat purring next to me didn't help, I'm sure. Anyway, I missed lunch and decided to have a cinnamon roll as a snack, but apparently even a small cinnamon roll is enough to suppress my appetite for several hours. The house is comfortably untidy, and the yard is all but invisible by night, so this has to be counted as a day well spent.
