Leafery

A bunch of leaves are heaped in an enormous pile, and now I have to squash them into wheelie bins. That's the most tedious part. It must be done today because tomorrow is pickup day. Tomorrow night rain is expected, and there is a chance of rain every day for the succeeding seven days. November is going to come to a soggy end, but at least the back lawn will be cleared of leaves.

Right now it's very pretty out, with a yellow sun shining through red and yellow leaves from the pale blue sky. I guess if I have to spend an hour stuffing leaves into bins, this is a good day to be doing it. I'd rather just be hanging out watching the day pass, though. But I've only got an hour of daylight left, so I'd better get to stuffing. Autumn is such a demanding season.
