Falling

It's very distressing to wake up at dusk and not know if it's morning dusk or evening dusk. That's the problem with the days around the equinoxes, especially when your clock is screwed up so the hour hand is between numbers when the minute hand is on 12. I'll have to see if I can fix that thing, or replace it.

But after I figured out it was evening dusk I hastily fed the feral cats and drank some orange juice, because even though it was evening, dinner just seemed terribly inappropriate. I'm thinking I'll wait until sometime around midnight and then have breakfast. If my sleeping schedule is going to be catawampus, I might as well let my eating schedule follow suit.

Speaking of equinoxes, it happens this Saturday, and, as the jet stream would have it, Sunday will be the first day in months with a high temperature below 80 degrees. Yay fall! But it doesn't look as though we'll be getting any rain here soon. My front lawn could end up being brown clear into November or December. Ah, well. At least the leaves will give it a decent burial.
