I forgot to close one of my windows this morning, and this turned out to be the day the smoke came back. Now the room with the computer is both hot and smelly. I suppose I'll have to turn on the air conditioner for an hour or so. Outside, the visibility is down to about half a mile, and it will probably get worse. Even the trees across the street look a bit hazed.

The good news is that the fire didn't expand very much yesterday, so it's much closer to being contained. Also good news is that now the nights are expected to be a bit cooler than they have been, and next week the highs might dip down into the eighties for a couple of days.

Last time I hacked my hair off I must have done something wrong, because I woke up today with some kind of a fauxhawk thing going on. Maybe it will go away after I shower. If it doesn't, I'll take it as a sign that I should start watching soccer games, buying my beer in kegs, and downloading sad porn.
